Press the button at the top of this nook. The platform begins to turn. Belle, yellow gown, warm amber light catching the silk and the Beast rotate slowly together. Music plays from the built-in mechanism. The stained glass panels behind them glow pink and gold. Roses climb the arch above. Candles flicker in the lower halls.

The Enchanted Rose

The rose under the glass bell is the moral and visual center of the story the last petal that determines everything. In this nook, roses climb every arch and wall of the castle scene. A yellow rose garland winds from the base to the ballroom, a constant reminder of what is at stake. The rose is everywhere because, in this story, it always is.

The Yellow Ball Gown

Belle's golden yellow dress  arguably the most iconic costume in animated film history, is the chromatic center of the rotating platform scene. The miniature figure's gown is rendered in warm yellow, catching the amber light from the candle glow. It is the brightest point of the entire nook when lit, exactly as it should be.

Lumière : The Candelabra

The enchanted candelabra,  Lumière, the maître d' of the enchanted staff  is represented throughout the nook in miniature candle light. Wall sconces, table candles and the warm ambient glow recreate the atmosphere of a castle entirely staffed by objects that are trying very hard to be welcoming. The LED warm tone is Lumière's light: amber, theatrical, slightly theatrical.
