Margot : Wood Miniatures & BookTok Creator
I'm Margot: compulsive reader, BookTok content creator, and founder of Wood Miniatures. I hand-pick, build, and test every book nook myself before it ever reaches this shop so your bookshelf can finally look like the one you've been picturing. If you're looking for a book nook shop run by an actual reader who tests every kit herself before selling it, you're in the right place.
My Story With Books
I've always lived surrounded by books: stacked on my nightstand, piled on my desk, spilling off the shelves in my living room. It was never just a reading habit it became part of how I decorated my whole life. I've always needed to build a little atmosphere around what I'm reading: a candle that smells like old paper, a good blanket, a bookshelf that tells you something about the stories sitting on it.
That love for a "cozy" aesthetic, for bookshelves with a soul, is what naturally pulled me toward a world I didn't even know existed yet: book nooks.
The BookTok Discovery & Book Nooks
I found BookTok almost by accident, while looking for reading recommendations on TikTok. What I found there went far beyond simple book reviews: an entire community of readers turning their passion into something visual their shelves, their reading rituals, their favorite objects.
That's how, one evening, I stumbled on my very first book nook build video: a tiny wooden scene sliding in between two books, like a hidden world tucked inside the bookshelf. It was love at first sight. I immediately wanted one on my own shelf then a second one, then a third.
These days, I regularly share my builds, my reading recommendations, and my bookshelf decor ideas on BookTok. It's also where I hear what you want to see next in the shop.
Why I Started Wood Miniatures
After building several kits bought here and there, I realized there wasn't really a place made specifically for book lovers not just another generic "DIY products" site, but a carefully curated selection put together by someone who actually tests what she sells.
That's how Wood Miniatures came to be: I wanted to offer book nooks that genuinely speak to readers, with recognizable worlds (fantasy, dark academia, Harry Potter, Japanese-inspired scenes...) and a level of detail that earns a spot on a bookshelf.
In practical terms, here is what I do on a daily basis: I select the perfect models to complement your bookshelves and choose decorative items like candle holders to style them. I also engage with you on TikTok and Instagram to find out what you love.
This shop is for readers who want their bookshelves to tell a story, rather than just serving as a place to store books. If you spend time on BookTok, love a cozy atmosphere, and value meaningful objects, then Wood Miniatures was created just for you.
