It appears in the story at exactly the right moment the moment when the protagonist has run out of ordinary options and needs something that cannot be found in an ordinary place. The sign above the door reads Once Upon a Time, and the facade is so completely covered in wisteria and ivy that you're not sure whether the building grew the plants, or the plants grew the building.
The window display is warm. Through the glass, you can see shelves packed with miniature books, tiny figurines, a teddy bear wedged between two volumes, a teacup on a saucer. A stained glass panel glows above the door. At the foot of the steps, a small mushroom with a red cap stands beside a miniature ladder, as though something very small lives there and has been using it for years.

The Wisteria & Ivy Facade
Pink wisteria cascades from the roofline and along the upper facade. Dense green ivy covers the lower walls, the doorframe and the side of the building. The plant coverage is so complete that the shop feels grown, not built a place that has been here long enough for the garden to take over.
The Shop Windows & Stained Glass
Large divided-light windows reveal the interior shelves and display. Above the door, a circular stained glass panel glows warm amber the detail that stops most people when they first look at the facade. It gives the entrance the feeling of a very small, very important cathedral.
The Mushroom Garden
At the base of the steps, a small mushroom-house with a red cap, a tiny miniature ladder leaning against the wall, potted flowers and scattered stones. The garden-level details are the ones that reward close looking each one suggests an occupant you haven't met yet.
